CINEMA
In 2011, while documenting Parisian theaters, Franck Bohbot's encounter with the Max Linder theater inspired his "Cinema" series, focusing on the Golden Age movie palaces of 1930s-40s Hollywood. This ongoing project blends his passion for cinema with his artistry in photographing living spaces, aiming to illuminate the often-darkened theaters of the past and present. Beginning his homage to cinema in 2014, Bohbot started in Hollywood, the heart of the global film industry, before expanding his focus to include contemporary cinema spaces. Through capturing both historic and modern theaters, Bohbot seeks to preserve the timeless allure and significance of the cinematic experience.
