This long-form project Angels, which includes also mini-series like Melrose, Dream Fiction, or Return to Long Beach, delves into the essence of Los Angeles, the "city of angels." Home to Hollywood and a myriad of dreams, the city crafts myth after American myth. For some, it represents the pursuit of glamour and stardom, while others navigate ordinary lives amidst the spectacle. Yet, as Jack Kerouac famously noted, Los Angeles can also be the "loneliest and most brutal of American cities." Amidst this dichotomy, these photos uncover the strangely authentic beauty that resides within the city's myths. Whether it's the glint of exercise equipment along the shoreline or the silhouette of power lines against the sky, each image captures a glimpse of the ethereal allure of the so-called "city of angels."
