BEING A PART

New York City still the cultural center it once was? As artist studios have transformed to posh condominiums and chain stores have taken over neighborhood haunts, some of the artists who remain in the city are becoming stretched thin, working odd jobs to make rent, and increasingly isolated. Yet they are still trying to figure out how to keep a dream alive. In this short documentary, Ray Sullivan, a musician and actor originally from Long Island who now lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, talks about how and why he wanted to be a part of New York City.
